Wyndeham group sales director Jon Hearnden is to move to Polestar to take on a "senior sales and account management role".Hearnden has been with Wyndeham since 2000 and was promoted to his directorship there in May 2006 – a position created especially for him.
Polestar has not specified Hearnden's role except to say he will be based at the company's London sales office.
HR director Simon Jones told printweek.com that Hearnden presented "an excellent opportunity we couldn't pass up".
He said Polestar was still negotiating a release date for Hearnden and was "looking forward to spending some time with him, to see where he is the best fit, and where we can use his skills to get the best return for the business".
Polestar chief operating officer Catherine Hearn said: "We are delighted to have someone of Jon's calibre and broad experience joining our successful sales team and look forward to welcoming him to Polestar."
The news will come as a blow to Wyndeham Press Group, which has proposed closing several sites this year at Luton and Bow, London.
