PPMA Show to partner with Interplas

Next year's PPMA Show will be co-located with Interplas, the major trade exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries.

The previous Interplas, in 2005, attracted almost 7,900 visitors and 480 exhibiting companies, while 6,300 visitors and almost 300 exhibitors attended the last PPMA Show, in 2006.

The PPMA Show 2008 will take place in Hall 5 of the NEC, with Interplas in Hall 4. Visitors will be able to move freely between the shows, which take place from 30 September to 2 October 2008.

The exhibitions will also feature a free seminar programme, while Interplas will incorporate Inspex, which will focus on the quality control and measurement industries.

There are 61 confirmed exhibitors so far for Interplas 2008, but initial figures for the PPMA Show will not be available for another month or so.

Liz Finlay, exhibition director at Reed Exhibitions, which organises the PPMA Show along with the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association, said: "We will be aiming to build on the success of the 2006 event, which was characterised by the quality of visitors and the leads that this generated."
