Print firm Michael Burbridge takes Heidelberg installation trail

Maidenhead printer Michael Burbridge is set to improve output with a new Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 52-5 and Prosetter 74.

Managing director George Burbridge said the firm purchased the B3 five-colour SM 52 and platesetter because "the performance of the Speedmaster and the support that Heidelberg gives is convincing".

The 23-strong company made the decision to go with Heidelberg following "thorough" evaluation and print tests.

Burbridge said: "We bought the Speedmaster SM 52-5 and Prosetter 74 CTP device because we wanted to further improve our quality and output."

The visible light Prosetter is connected to the press via Heidelberg's Prinect Prepress Interface, which the manufacturer claimed speeds up makeready and reduces waste start-up sheets.

"Our ethos is to look after our clients and to do so we need the right equipment. That's why we have bought the SM 52," added Burbridge.
