MSO has merged Leicester-based Labelsco with its Hannibal Labels division, purchased last year, which was also based in the city.
The combined operation will take on the Labelsco name and operate from the firm's 7,000sqm factory.
MSO Group chief executive Dominic Walsh said the Hannibal factory had closed and most of the staff had transferred, but some had decided to leave the company.
In addition, 90% of the equipment at Hannibal has been moved to Labelsco's factory.
Walsh said the move made the firm the UK's largest privately owned label company, with a combined turnover of £16.5m and a workforce of 170.
Labelsco, which produces labels for the pharmaceuticals, health and beauty, food, household and DIY, horticulture and automotive industries, reported a pre-tax profit of £335,000 on sales of £9.5m in the year to 31 March 2006.
MSO Group also produces labels in Belfast, but Walsh said Leicester would become the main centre for the firm's label business.
MSO Group's turnover in the self-adhesive labelling sector is now around £23m. Overall group turnover is £55m.
