Rapid Action Packaging (RAP) is targeting the independent retail sector with a new range of environmentally friendly packs for salads, wraps and sandwiches.
The London-based company has created the new range for smaller retailers unable to commit to the same order quantities prescribed by RAP for its bespoke products.
Benn Ely, sales executive at RAP, said: "We are working with a number of distributors so a small independent shop would be able to buy one case from a distributor."
Ely said smaller retailers would be able to buy the same quality of packs as the bespoke versions already used by clients such as Pret a Manger and Costa.
The range is unbranded so customers can trial the product before investing in a bespoke printed pack.
The RAP board wedge was the first of its kind on the market combining a printed board container finish with a PLA/corn starch, anti-mist window.
RAP manufactures its products in the Republic of Ireland.
