UK packaging company Macfarlane Groups has sold its foam packaging businesses in the US and Mexico to US firm Specialised Packaging Group.
Macfarlane Western Foam Packaging Products and Macfarlane de Mexico were sold for £3.8m cash.
During the 2006 financial year the two companies made a combined profit of £200,000 on turnover of £18.2m.
Macfarlane's UK businesses produce paperboard and injection moulded plastic packaging and polyethylene foam.
