Unite members in the printing industry, including packaging firms, have voted in favour of the pay deal negotiated with the BPIF in February.
Members accepted a pay increase of £9.60 a week on class one rates, equating to 3.54% on basic rates. The deal will affect an estimated 30,000 workers in the commercial printing and packaging industries.
Unite assistant general secretary Tony Burke said: "Having gone through a tough time recently, the industry needs some stability and the 2008 pay increase will help provide that. It is a modest basic increase that companies can afford."
The pay award will be implemented from 24 April.
