A new light-weight robot arm, which shortens packaging cycle times, has been integrated into Schubert's automated packaging machines.
The TLM-F44 robot stations now have a TLM-F4 unit, which is smaller lighter and more efficient than the previous version.
The redesign means operating control panels can be incorporated into safety door pillars and a streamlined conveyor structure allows better maintenance access to the packaging system.
Schubert UK's managing director Alan Law says the modifications offer "an extremely quick changeover time between different packaging configurations".
"A range of tasks, for example carton erecting, filling and closing, can be easily integrated into the same machine," he says.
