Former Multiplex director Myles Bunyard has appeared as director at Capital Print and Display (CPD), the trading name of east London large-format printer Capital.
However, according to the Individual Insolvency Register, Bunyard is bankrupt and unable to hold a directorship at any company until 1 April 2009.
CPD said Bunyard was no longer at the firm and was only a consultant.
Rav Gill, general manager at Capital Print and Display, said: “In a couple of weeks time his name will be off their [Companies House] files. His name should not have been there in the first place.
“There is a lot of legal wrangling going on and I can’t say any more than that,” added Gill.
According to a Companies House report from 21 February 2008, Bunyard was appointed as director on 1 February 2008. A spokesman for credit-checking specialist ICSM said: “We have had numerous enquiries about this gentleman. His previous companies are a matter of public record and are well known to us.”
A statement from the insolvency register, made it clear that any undischarged bankrupt “acting as a company director, without the court’s permission, whether formally appointed as a director or not” has committed a criminal offence.
